The new list for Amerca's most dangerous cities is out and Camden, NJ -- my hometown, is NUMBER TWO!! We were beat out by none other than New Orleans -- God Bless 'em.
Cheer up Camden, you're Number One in robberies. It was that Number Three in murder that was holding you back.

I lived in NYC for a long time, and rambled all over the worst parts of the Bronx and Brooklyn feeling confident and unafraid.
The only time I ever really feared for my life was being lost in NJ after midnight. It was Newark, not Camden. But I'm guessing Newark is in the top 10.
With effort, I think Camden can get into the #2 in murders and then nothing is impossible.
Clowncar: I worked in NYC and lived in Brooklyn, pre-Giuliani -- when Times Square was not a Disney attraction -- and I am telling you, Camden is a third-world country compared to that. Also -- interestingly, Camden is NJ's only rep on the list of 15. Wholesome Ohio is the only state with two cities: Cleveland and Youngstown.
Doug: Shhhhhhh! You'll jinx it!
I live down(up) the street from Camden. Everyone was sure the light rail would bring all of that wonderfulness our way. Apparently it is still well contained.
