Oy!
Jeez Loiuse! I knitted until my hands cramped. I thought I was having a stroke at one point. And then I cried for a half an hour.
My children will not go to school tomorrow (oh. I'm sorry. Today.) and I will not go to work. We will make our pilrimage to Fenway.
And why?
Because anything is possible.

oh lordy, i have no clue what's going on. i know it involves emotional knitting and men in uniform hugging.
carry on.
oh, sorry...the Red Sox won the world series.
further proof of senile dementia:
why is that good? because i've heard a lot about it lately and it obviously plumb fucking eludes me.
*slouches back off to the rock she's been living under*
It is good to me because:
a) I am a red sox fan, have been since the tender age of 10.
b) Historically the Red Sox lose. I mean LOSE. I mean tragic operatic loss.
c) they won the World Series for the first time in 86 years in 2004. This year's win is sweet in a different way -- because it is not a fluke -- but now a twice in a lifetime event.
d) I feel a lot of affection for where I live and I think of Boston as home. Something satifying about living here when there are champions amongst us.
I thought about you when I heard the news. Congrats.
Thanks so much Nessa! always nice to be thought of...
